This book! THIS BOOK. 

So painfully heartbreaking, so fall-down hilarious, so can’t-put-it-down-for-so-much-as-five-seconds. @Lynn_Coady grew up in the same town as I did, so there were familiar bits of scenery (The Legion by the Dairy Queen! Mr. Fancy, our gym teacher!) but the story is entirely fresh, both in content and composition.

Somehow this is the first of her novels that I’ve ever read - I love love loved it. Please read!

So I haven’t updated in ages. Work has been bananas, then I went to South Beach with a girlfriend and… in short, neglect.

Anyway, this weekend I bought a pair of these excellent loungers from West Elm at just about a third of the original price thanks to a combination of their summer sale and the fact that they were the last two in stock. Steal! (I threw in the pillows too and, man, are they cute-ing up the yard.) They arrive tomorrow and I cannot wait to spend every spare moment on one of them ‘til the weather forbids any more.

Grapes and chicken, together at last!

I love these wee Converse shoes. No laces, instead relying on side Velcro so a two year old has no issue dressing himself. I bought them at Mini Mioche.

I seriously hope this Puppia thing works and my silly dog stops gagging relentlessly on walls.
